Come and liberate yourself and “transcend” daily life, through our Autumn day retreat, taking you through vibrations of yoga, kirtan (singing) and Gong

 Set in the beautiful, grand St Mark’s Church Regents Park, hosted by Yang (Melissa Zaleya) and Yin (Samuel Nwokeka) duo. With the head Chef (Woody) who is behind all the delights of LEVELSIX café, as well as Kirtan by Radhika Ranjana of Kirtan London and Gong from Rachael Welford, this day is set up to be one of your most memorable of 2019.

 We will be focusing on the season of harvest, autumn being the time to reap what we planted in the spring, it gives us the time and space to reflect, a time of the year to easily access gratitude and celebration of what we have done, but also a time of seeing what we want to take forward and what we want to leave behind from the harvest.

The Yoga

Melissa and Samuel will be guiding you through a morning dynamic practice, igniting your cosmic fire. The practice and day is open to those beginning their yoga journey and those who are down the trodden path. The only pre-requisites is love of yoga, delicious foods, and great vibes.

The Food

The food will be inspired by the season, Autumn, abundant and delicious fresh food, provided by the man behind the cafe of LEVELSIX yoga studio in Peckham, Woody. A passionate foodie and chef we will be graced with a family feast and some of Woody’s signature deserts.


After we have had time to digest and connect with one another, we will be lead by Londons leading Kirtan man Radhika Ranjana in a musical mediation.

Once we liberated ourselves through voice we will be lead into introspection through a YIN & GONG practice. This will be sequences around the Element of Metal which gives value to the Earth in the form of precious metals and trace elements.

The yin will leave us ready to be bathed in sounds of gong rounding off a Magical day.

About Samuel

It was around the same time that Samuel took a fall whilst skiing which forced him to call time on his football career that he had started to progress once again in the Essex Senior League. Not only did this give him the time to deepen his practice, but he soon learnt there was much more to yoga than the endorphin pump you get from the physical asana. The clarity and calmness it brought to his mind proved invaluable, giving him the tools to stay centred despite working long hours in the City.

Samuel's teaching style is fun and upbeat, focusing on linking breath with movement. He likes to challenge his students and to offer them ways to take their practice further. His energetic teaching style ensures everyone will take something away from each one of his classes - whether you are completely new to yoga or have been practicing for as long as you can remember.

About Melissa

Melissa was always curious about finding the purpose of her life.

In 2014 she discover in the Yoga practise the balance and the happiness she was looking for. 

Melissa realised since long time ago that she always wanted to be involved in activities which could help other people to find themselves as she did for her on the yoga mat.

While practicing Yoga as a student, Melissa finally found her passion and discovered the healing benefits of yoga ( mental, physical and spiritual ).

What is a gong bath

A gong bath is essentially a sound meditation. The name gong bath comes from being bathed in a variety of soothing and sacred sounds which use a variety of healing frequencies.

You wear comfy clothes and lay down with a pillow and a blanket (it's a bit like a fun sleepover from when you were a kid) once you are super comfy, I start to guide you using my voice, Tibetan bowls, Gong and bells. I also send Reiki energy to relax your body and slow your busy mind. It's pure bliss. 

Every practitioner is different in how they play, the instruments they use and the way they run their events so I would recommend trying a few different ones before you decide you don't like them

What is a Kirtan

Kirtan is a call and response musical meditation that takes a minute to learn, and makes you feel good just as fast. The practice goes back more than 5000 years and can be practiced by anyone. You do not need to be a good singer, a practitioner of yoga, or a follower of any religion or set of beliefs to experience the power of kirtan. An open mind and your voice are all that is required! Combining music, mantra meditation and full body, mind and heart participation, kirtan offers a rich, immersive experience that has the power to change the world, one heart at a time.
